NADRA ID Card Requirements
The National Identity Card is issued to individuals above the age of 18 years. It contains a 13-digit number that is used to identify a person as a Pakistani citizen.
Fresh Registration of National Identity Card (NIC)
In case parents or blood relatives are available:
- Original/copy of S/CNIC-S/NICOP
- Physical presence of parents/blood relatives for Biometric Verification on CNICF
In case parents or blood relative ID Card holder are not available:
- Original/copy of S/CNIC-S/NICOP of parents/blood relatives
Any one of following Document(s):
- CRC or matric equivalent certificate/mark sheet
- Domicile or passport
- Attestation of CNICF
In case parents or blood relatives of the ID card holder are not present while documents aren’t available either:
- Original S/CNIC-S/NICOP of parents/blood relatives
- Biometric Witness of any CNIC holder along with affidavit (as per format)
- Interview with case officer
- Attestation of CNICF
Note: Presence of applicants in all three cases is mandatory.

How to Track NADRA ID Card Application Status?
For tracking down ID, follow these steps:
- Open the message app on your phone.
- Draft a message by adding your application tracking ID.
- Send the text message to 8400.
Once delivered, you will get a message from the NADRA portal. It will notify you of the status of your application.

Note:
- CNIC Cancellation for a deceased person costs PKR 50.
- Child Registration Certificate or CRC New/ Duplicate/Modification costs PKR 50 in normal and for executive – it’s PKR 500.
- Family Registration Certificate/FCR charges are PKR 1,000 in normal. For executives, it is PKR 1,000.
NADRA’s Office Timings
The only branch that remains open for 24 hours is the NADRA Mega Centres.
You can also visit the Executive offices and Registration centers, following are the days and timings.
