Bagh-Ibn-Qasim Park

Karachi New Park
This landmark was donated to the people of Karachi by Jehangir Kothari

Situated beside the Seaview, Bagh-Ibn-Qasim often gets overshadowed by the beach. However, it is one of the best parks in Karachi. 

Spanning over an area of 130 acres Bagh Ibne Qasim – the Garden of the Son of Qasim –  is the biggest park of the city. The park is divided into different sections and is home to one of the best adventure parks in Karachi. 

The northern side of the park consists of Jehangir Kothari Parade (built on the land given to the people of Karachi, by Jahangir Kothari) and the Katrak Bandstand. The park boasts top-notch facilities such as a mosque, turtle pond, murals of dinosaurs, and a huge Rose Garden. There’s also a Hindu temple beside the park.

The Rose Garden is the best place for a light stroll, and if you are tired, you can relax under the stone canopies hiding from the scorching sun.

Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park

Built in honor of the Late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto –  the first lady Prime Minister of the Muslim World –  this park is another beachside park located right in front of the Boat Basin Chowrangi. Owing to its amazing flower beds and beachview, it is deemed as one of the best parks in Karachi.  

The park is a perfect place for you to visit, whether you simply want to stroll around in the evening, or just lay down on the lush green carpet. While you jog around on the well-maintained tracks, your kids can enjoy the rides installed in the play area, without any worry, as the park is surrounded by huge walls and guarded by enormous gates.  There is also a splendid fountain centered on a flower of beds. 

The place is gigantic – enough to host the annual Karachi Eat festival, flower festivals, and many other festivals throughout the year.

Karachi Safari Park

One of the best adventure parks in Karachi, Safari Park spans over an area of 148 acres. 

Inaugurated in 1970, it is also one of the oldest family parks in Karachi. The city’s most famous artery, University Road, is in close proximity with Safari Park. 

From lush green gardens to swan-filled lakes, the park is the heart of the old city. You can even get an aerial view of the lake by availing the chairlift facilities. Apart from this, the park also offers attractions, such as, a mini zoo, Go-Aish Adventure Park, and a zoo safari. 

You will instantly fall in love with all the big facilities this park has to offer. By spending as much as you can, you will start appreciating the small details as well. If you get hungry, you can always buy snacks and beverages from the kiosks in the park.

Hill Park Karachi

Situated at the hilly region of the city and boasting the aerial view of the city, Hill Park is one of the best parks for families. Old trees, luscious greenery, duck pond, open grounds –  the park has something for everyone. 

Hill Park is also home to one of the most meticulously planned amusement parks in Karachi. From roller coasters and arcade games to kiosks serving fries and desi snack items – it is a perfect spot for spending an evening with your kids.  

Among the many attractions of the amusement park in Hill Park, the ferris wheel is the most highlighted one. While sitting on the top of the wheel, you can see the entire park spreading over an area of 62 acres. And, if you look on the other side, you can get a magnificent view of the city of lights. 

Not to mention, there are also several refreshments kiosks and eateries.

Nisar Shaheed Park

Having one of the biggest walking tracks in Karachi, Nisar Shaheed Park is the biggest park of DHA. It spreads over an area of 26 acres. The monuments, fountains, jogging tracks, exciting rides, and manicured gardens will all keep you coming back for more. 

Managed by the Defence Housing Authority, the park is dotted with benches for visitor’s comfort. 

There are food stalls and tuck shops right outside the main gate of the park. The best part – it is right adjacent to Chunky Monkey Amusement Park.
