Real Estate in Karachi to Carry QR Codes

Karachi: Commercial, residential, and other properties related to real estate in Karachi will carry a Quick Response (QR) code to solve the rising issues related to the property sector. This facility will allow the concerned property hunters to check the legal status of a scheme just by using their smartphones. Not to mention, it will solve plenty of problems related to construction bylaws and illegal housing schemes.

Endorsing the government’s initiative for safe and seamless property transactions, the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that developers and builders in K-Town need to integrate this plan for their upcoming projects in the city. The minister communicated this message at a meeting with a delegation of their representative association known as the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD).

Please note that the initiative is announced against the illegitimate construction in the City of Lights. Meanwhile, the Sindh Building Control Authority is instructed to issue QR codes to developers. CM Sindh minister said that the procedure will be further simplified and it will facilitate the property sector of the province.

Intending to boost Karachi’s construction activity, he also said that the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency had been instructed to simplify the process for new schemes. This initiative will encourage constructors and real estate developers to invest in the provincial capital.

Furthermore, the provincial government will also build low-cost housing projects for the poverty-stricken and underprivileged segment of the society. The scheme will be developed in collaboration with ABAD under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
