He said that the people of the metropolis have suffered a lot due to unprecedented rains.

The statement was a day after Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a PKR 1.1 trillion package for Karachi Transformation Plan. As per the PM, the project will bring several improvements to the city’s infrastructure and the investment will be spent in a span of 3 years. In addition to that, the premier said that the fund in the package will be utilised to finance several other developments in the city.
