Lahore: On 27th September, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar initiated the “Tourism Punjab Application” for mobile phone users, along with the DTS system application as a tribute to the World Tourism Day.
The tourism industry in Pakistan is ever-growing, while recent updates are only proof that the tourism industry plays a vital role in economic development. Emphasising on the need and importance of the application, CM Buzdar claimed that the application was designed to serve visitors by providing information about approximately 511 tourist spots across the province. The application is now available for download at Google Play Store, and is intended to help citizens acquire information about tourist-related services in Punjab.
Furthermore, it was disclosed that the application is aimed at providing the most suitable routes for tourist spots with the help of services offered by Tourism Development Corporation Punjab (TDCP). The application also lets tourists and tour operators make online bookings for TDCP hotels.
CM Buzdar further ordered the developers to add an e-payment facility in the application to offer more convenience to the citizens. The DTS System App is, however, introduced for tour operators, which automates all their affairs and facilitates them for online registrations.
