Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan urged overseas Pakistanis to invest in Pakistan’s construction sector and real estate projects. In this regard, premier particularly named Ravi Riverfront Urban Development (RRUD) Project of Lahore and Bundle Island Project in Karachi.

These remarks were made the premier while chairing a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Thursday.
Presiding over the meeting for construction and development in the country, the premier said, “Overseas Pakistanis have always supported the construction and real estate sector by their investment. We are giving them another big opportunity to secure their investment in Ravi Urban Development Project in Lahore and Bundle Island Project in Karachi”.

According to Mr. Khan, these mega projects will promote affiliated sectors [such as real estate] and strengthen Pakistan’s economy, along with encouraging investment in billions.
Furthermore, the premier stated that investors, builders, developers, and constructors are showing a satisfactory amount of interests in developmental projects. He added that the government encourages both residents and overseas Pakistanis to invest in these projects.
Showing a little insight into the details of Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project, Mr. Khan stated that the government is also aiming to boost the local industry by sourcing around 90 per cent of the construction material from Pakistan.
