PDWP Approves Road Upgradation Plan in Kotli Sattian

Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of Punjab has authorised five development schemes that include widening, dualisation, and road infrastructure improvement in Kotli Sattian, Rahim Yaar Khan. 

There was a meeting held on Monday, October 19th, where the approval of the project was issued. Imran Sikandar Baloch Secretary Punjab Planning and Development, provincial secretaries, and representatives of the related departments, members of the planning and development board, and other notable officials were present on the occasion. 

 The estimated total cost of the approved schemes is PKR 3,230 million. According to the news sources, approval for land acquisition for sewage treatment plant setup in Sialkot and Sahiwal has also been granted by the PDWP. These projects would have the estimated costs of PKR 822.96 million and PKR 657.62 million, respectively. 

The three road projects that were approved in the PDWP meeting were: 

  • Improving the 24.1 kilometre-long Lehtrar-Kotli Kuliary Road in Tehsil Kotli Sattian, Rawalpindi costing a total of PKR 649.463 million. 
  • Dualisation of the 11.15 kilometre long Jandiala Sher Khan section of Hiran Minar Road which would cost a total of PKR 494.68 million. 
  • Improving the roads in Rahim Yar Khan cost a total of PKR 605.153 million.
