Rawalpindi: According to a news report, Commissioner Captain (retired) has announced that by the 12th of April, the companies interested in getting contracts for the Rawalpindi Ring Road under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) should submit their proposals.
He further added that a committee would be set up to assess these proposals.
While chairing the meeting to review the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project (RRR), the retired commissioner stated that PKR 3 million will be paid to the people whose land will be obtained for the making of the 31 kilometer long road. The development would be officially announced in a week. Out of the 29 districts, 27 tracks have already been transferred to the government.
Apart from the retired Commission Captain, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, RDA Director General Captain (retired) Abdul Sattar Issani, Director Finance and Development Nazia Parveen Sundhan, Deputy Project Director Rawalpindi Ring Road Mohammad Abdullah, and other officials were also in attendance of the mentioned meeting.
